My friends’s beautiful take on – Joyful and Balanced Life

As borrowed from his post- where he writes,

Lately, I’ve been collecting reminders for myself — simple principles that help me stay grounded, joyful, and balanced. It’s turning into a small list, and I’d like to share it.

1. Movement is the foundation of well-being.

Physical movement, first of all. There’s plenty of research showing that even a simple walk for an hour or two can noticeably improve mental health. Still, the best results come from activity that raises the heart rate — something that wakes both body and mind.

2. Zoom out.

That’s how I wrote it down for myself. It’s a reminder that there’s a vast, boundless universe around me — and that life is far bigger than my current worries or emotions. Getting stuck in my own perspective makes me smaller. But when I view myself as a character in the larger game of life, I regain perspective — I “zoom out.”

3. Don’t take life, or yourself, too seriously.

When every thought or choice feels monumental, the fear of making mistakes becomes paralyzing. And without the freedom to make mistakes, there’s no space for curiosity, exploration, or play.

4. Ask: What do I not want in my life?

This question feels far more practical than obsessing over what I want to gain. Clarity often comes from exclusion.

5. See yourself as someone with great goals and abilities.

The key is self-perception, not just ambition. When I see myself as capable and purposeful, I stop accepting what doesn’t fit me. I stop retreating from challenges or underestimating my own potential. Fear fades — along with the need to deceive myself or others.

6. Challenges are where my choices shape my life/reality.

My choices in those moments define my world. Avoiding them means giving up responsibility for my own life. And sometimes, the right response to a challenge is a firm, honest no.
