Friendship

Is a safe space where other person is respected.
Space where ideas are discussed, challenged, and honoured. Where authenticity, creativity, and experimentation are valued.
Where laughter flows, sadness is checked with curiosity, doubts, and validated with proofs. Egos are left at the door.

Character compass is aligned, and any variation is expressed truthfully.
Where each other has equal standing, responsible for their own, represented by their own beliefs.
Where there is no burden, however, when need arises, one would not shun the other.

Where new experience is shared, narrated, or exposed to others.
There is no clingy feeling yet; if something worthwhile needs to be said, it will be heard.
Where dependence and absence are replaced by self-reliance.

And lately I feel- it is not to be taken for granted.
